CASE STUDY
EthniFacts
Problem/Situation:
Ethnifacts is a market research consulting firm offering custom multicultural research and syndicated data to boost client outcomes. Quantistat Solutions has partnered with Ethnifacts regularly for the past three years to collaborate on numerous market research projects. Most recently, the Wine Market Council enlisted the services of Ethnifacts and Quantistat Solutions to explore perceptions of wine among consumers in their 20s and 30s (who are increasingly more diverse).
Results:
Data obtained from 1,816 young multicultural wine drinkers was analyzed by Quantistat Solutions, revealing that wine positioning should be more about fun (and less formal), as many young wine drinkers limit their consumption to formal, special occasions. Additionally, companies must work to appeal to all cultural groups, as only 12% of young adults felt that wine was connected to their culture. These results suggest that marketing images need to be more relatable to younger generations and reflect more diverse demographics.

Minnesota Sex Offender Program
Problem/Situation:
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) serves people who are court-ordered to receive sex offender treatment. MSOP staff observe and monitor clients in all aspects of daily living, including group therapy. Other routine treatment and rehabilitative services opportunities include (1) education programming, (2) therapeutic recreation, (3) vocational programming, and (4) volunteer services. Recently, MSOP partnered with Quantistat Solutions to assess the overlap in sexual arousal and interest among clients in an effort to inform treatment.
Results:
Data from over 160 clients indicated that, although there was significant overlap between measures of sexual arousal and interest, these two measures are distinct. The results provide critical insight into the underlying psychological and physiological mechanisms that contribute to offending behaviors and may be used to improve management techniques and ensure effective interventions.
